Ferenchak has more than 25 years of experience as faculty and an administrator in multicultural and multi-campus community colleges as well as small rural colleges in Florida, North Carolina, Texas and Virginia.

Most recently, he was the dean of health occupations at Paris Junior College in Paris, Texas, serving as an academic officer for eight health occupation programs at the college. His administrative experience also includes serving as the academic dean of health sciences at Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from 2006-2017 and as department chair of the School of Allied Health Technologies at Miami Dade College in Miami, Florida, from 1993-2006.

Ferenchak has a MS in Adult Education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, and an EdD in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University in Miami, Florida.

Prior to his education career, Ferenchak was a radiologic technologist. He earned a certificate in radiologic technology from St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown; a BS in Biology from Greensboro College in Greensboro, North Carolina; and a certificate in post-graduate studies in radiologic technology from Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.

“Greg Ferenchak is a veteran two-year college administrator whose background as a technologist makes him distinctively qualified to lead our academic operations,” said COTC President John M. Berry, PhD. “He is an experienced instructor with a deep understanding of workforce-focused education and a demonstrated commitment to meeting the needs of a diverse student body. It is my pleasure to welcome him to COTC.”

COTC is a fully accredited, public college dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible programs of technical education in response to current and emerging employment needs. COTC is the only technical college in Ohio operating four full-service campus locations: Newark, Coshocton, Knox and Pataskala.
