72 percent of applicants to Muskingum University were admitted for fall 2018

At Muskingum University, 86 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 56 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in New Concord enrolled 2,412 students in fall 2018, including 1,618 in undergraduate and 794 in graduate programs, data shows. 8.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

86 percent of undergraduates are residents of Ohio, and 11 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (77 percent) and Black or African American (5 percent).

The school admitted 72 percent of the 2,175 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 24 percent enrolled.
