Cost of college went up for all students at Franciscan University of Steubenville

Tuition and fees rose 4.5 percent for 2018-19 at Franciscan University of Steubenville, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Ohio students paid $27,630 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,200 more than the $26,430 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 99 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 468 students received grants or scholarships totaling $5.3 million and 402 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.9 million.

Including all undergraduates (3,028), 2,034 students used grants or scholarships totaling $23.4 million, and 1,593 students took out $10.8 million in federal student loans.
