Of the 2,307 people living in West Lafayette in 2019, 56.1 percent (1,295) were women and 43.9 percent (1,012) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the EC Ohio News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 764-to-500. In the 65 and over age range, there were 255 females and 181 males.
