Cincinnati-Middletown metro surpass San Francisco-Oakland-Hayward in 2019

The Cincinnati-Middletown metro area exported $28.8 billion in 2019, more than exports from San Francisco-Oakland-Hayward in 2019, according to the International Trade Administration.

A study from the Brookings Institute found competition between areas within the United States increases exports, which in turn generates stronger sales and more jobs for American workers.

The Cincinnati-Middletown metro area consists of 10 counties.

The San Francisco-Oakland-Hayward metro area comprises five counties exporting $28 billion in 2019.

The metro area with the most exports was Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land with $129.7 billion exported.
