The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that senior defensive specialist Gracie Collins was named the Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts in leading Muskingum to back-to-back straight-set wins last week.
Collins anchored the Muskie back line during the team's 3-0 wins over Capital and Baldwin Wallace. Against the Comets, Collins registered a game-high 16 digs while also tallying three assists and one service ace to help guide Muskingum to the victory. Against the Yellow Jackets, Collins tallied a team-high 16 digs and played an integral role in Muskingum's defensive efforts.
This season, Collins has a team-high 301 digs and she also leads Muskingum in service aces with 26. The Muskies will be back in action on Wednesday, October 19, when they travel to Mount Union. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. in Alliance, Ohio.
