Muskingum announces Hall of Fame Class to be inducted during Night of Impact

Muskingum University will induct its newest members into the Athletic Hall of Fame during the Night of Impact on Friday, February 3, at 7:00 p.m. The event will be presented by Carol Goff & Associates Real Estate and hosted at EagleSticks Golf Club in Zanesville, Ohio. The class of inductees includes J.R. Fox '90 (Track & Field/Football), Steve Hare '93 (Football), Kari Winters '08 (Softball), Jessica McKenzie '09 (Volleyball/Women's Basketball), and Brock Whiteman '10 (Baseball).

Fox finished third at the NCAA Championships in the decathlon to earn All-American honors. He was the Ohio Athletic Conference champion in the triple jump, the current school record holder in the decathlon, and a school record holder member of the 4x400 meter relay team. Fox was also a three-year starter on the Muskingum football team.

Hare was an Honorable Mention All-American linebacker and two-time Ohio Athletic Conference honoree for the offensive line and linebacker.

Winters was a two-time All-American honoree and two-time Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Year. She helped lead Muskingum to four OAC Championships and three World Series appearances.

McKenzie was an All-American and the Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Year for women's basketball. She ranks sixth all-time in career scoring with 1,383 points. McKenzie was a two-time OAC honoree for volleyball.

Whiteman was a two-time Academic All-American, an All-American honoree, and the Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Year. He is the all-time hits (222) leader at Muskingum and ranks second all-time in RBIs (176) and home runs (33).
