Men’s Basketball comes up short at Daytona Beach Shootout | Muskingum University
The Muskingum men's basketball team dropped a 69-65 contest against Simpson at the Daytona Beach Shootout.
The Basics

- The Muskies were led by freshman Logan Stotzer with 21 points and two rebounds.
- Sophomore Zaveon Croff added 12 points and five rebounds off the bench, while senior Noah Begue finished with nine points for Muskingum.
- Junior Luken Hill finished with seven points and five rebounds, while junior Bradley Russell chipped in six points, a team-high four assists, and four rebounds.
- Freshman Kaelan Pulliam added a team-high six rebounds for the Muskies as well.
- Simpson was led by Andrew Curran with 18 points, while Andrew Gibb finished with 13 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
- As a team, Muskingum shot 22-for-53 (41.5%) from the field, while Simpson when 22-for-46 (47.8%) from the floor.
- Muskingum shot 10-for-28 (35.7%) from deep, while Simpson was held to a 3-for-13 (23.1%) mark from three-point range.
- Simpson finished with a slight 28-27 edge in rebounding, while Muskingum held a 23-12 advantage in bench points.
- Simpson forced 15 Muskingum turnovers and converted them into 17 points, while the Muskies forced 11 turnovers and converted them to 13 points.
- Muskingum will be back in action Thursday, December 22, when they take on Concordia Wisconsin. Tip-off from the Daytona Beach Shootout is set for 5:00 p.m.
