City crews will begin picking up live Christmas trees which need to be disposed of on Tuesday, January 17. Residents need to get the tree to the curb for the crews to retrieve as they pass through neighborhoods.
If residents wish to get rid of their live Christmas trees in the short run, the Belmont Soil & Water Conservation District (BSWCD) office is accepting the trees for use in wildlife habitats. Trees can be unloaded behind the BSWCD office which is located at 130 West Main Street; please look for the sign behind the building for direction on placement of the tree. The cut off date for this service is January 27.
