2.2% of citizens unemployed in Holmes County in 2021

Holmes County recorded an unemployment rate of 2.2% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 451 people out of the 44,166 living in Holmes County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Holmes County has decreased compared to the 2.3% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Holmes County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 20,415 people who had a job during that time, 13 were employed in the Armed Forces and 20,402 belonged to the civilian labor force.
