FOIA Request to Holmes County Regarding Vendor Payments from January 1, 2024 till September 26, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in local government affairs, we at EC Ohio News have sent a request under the Ohio Open Records Law, §149.43 et seq., to Holmes County. We are seeking access to a list of all payments made to vendors within the specified period.
The information requested includes the vendor name, transaction date, transaction description, and amount for each payment. This data is crucial in providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on how public funds are being utilized in the county.
As a media organization involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, we believe that access to such records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
We have also requested a fee waiver as a media professional given our role in disseminating information.
