State Representative Adam Holmes (R-Nashport) participated in the White House State Leadership Conference last week, joining over 50 Ohio lawmakers and other officials. The event was organized by the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs to encourage collaboration between federal, state, and local governments. The conference aimed to provide a platform for discussing common priorities and policies.
During the conference, Rep. Holmes addressed the growing energy needs driven by manufacturing reshoring efforts, heavy industry development, and advances in artificial intelligence and data centers. He stated, “America's combined manufacturing reshoring efforts, heavy industry focus, and AI/Data Center growth are creating historic energy demands. We have to support this by increasing secure, reliable, abundant domestic energy sources: natural gas, nuclear, coal, oil.”
Rep. Holmes also met with senior members of the Trump Administration at the event. These included Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, and Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
