Eastern Gateway Community College enrolls 13,940 undergrads

At Eastern Gateway Community College, 65 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 74 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year public institution in Steubenville enrolled 13,940 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 0.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

25 percent of undergraduates are residents of Ohio, and 75 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (53 percent) and Black or African American (24 percent).
