ZANE STATE COLLEGE: A message from Zane State College President Chad Brown: Zero Tolerance

Zerotolerance

ZERO TOLERANCE 1000

ZERO TOLERANCE 1000

Zane State College issued the following announcement on Oct. 28.

Zane State College is deeply disturbed and saddened by the recent hate speech posted on social media within the local community.

The impact has created a frenzy of posts that reminds us that even the small communities we serve are not immune to the ugly behavior we have witnessed over the past several months across our nation. Let it be known, Zane State College has zero tolerance for racism and discrimination.

We expect our students, staff, and faculty to challenge social injustices and advocate for change. The campus community strives to demonstrate respect for all, regardless of differences. Zane State College empowers our students, staff, and faculty to seek and create opportunities to better understand our beliefs. We demonstrate this respect in our classrooms, offices, meeting places, and our community. We will hold our leaders, students, staff, and faculty accountable to create environments where diversity, equity, and inclusion are not only measured by their presence, but by the commitment to embrace, engage, and respect those differences.
