LCCC Sends Four Super Smash Bros. Players to the NJCAAE Postseason

The Lorain County Community College Super Smash Bros. esports team finished off the regular season earning most of their wins via forfeit but the big victory of the night was Matthew Coleman (Lorain, Ohio/Elyria HS).

Coleman came into the final week of the regular season unscathed at 6-0.  Even more impressive, he has gone through the entire season without losing a single round of play in his 2022 fall season.  His opponent for week 7 was Tristan D. from Three Rivers Community College who also came into the match undefeated.  Coleman made quick work of his opponent, 3-0, and with that victory took his group (or division) championship.

Aadyn Lilly (Elyria, Ohio/Elyria HS), Randy Wysocky (North Ridgeville, Ohio/North Ridgeville HS), and Dylan Gonzalez (Elyria, Ohio/Elyria Catholic HS) all picked up wins via forfeit in week 7.  For Gonzalez, it was his first forfeit win of the season and, like Coleman, finished the season 7-0 without losing a single round winning his group championship.  They will both play in the NJCAAE Super Smash Bros. playoffs starting on November 30, 2022.

Lilly and Wysocky both finish the regular season 4-3 and will get into the postseason by finishing in the top four in their divisions.

Coleman, Gonzalez, Lilly, and Wysocky will play after the Thanksgiving holiday on November 30, 2022 in the first round of the NJCAAE postseason.  For Coleman, it is his second postseason appearance.  For Wysocky, this will be his third.
