Stark State College is set to graduate 376 students at its summer/fall commencement Sunday, Jan. 8 at 2 p.m. at the Canton Civic Center.
The College will award 391 associate degrees in business, education, engineering technologies, health, human and public services, information technology, liberal arts, mathematics and sciences.
The commencement speaker will be Nathan Miller, DC, the College’s 2021-2022 Distinguished Teaching Award winner and assistant professor in the SSC biology department where he has been teaching anatomy and physiology and microbiology courses since 2017.
He received a doctor of chiropractic degree and a bachelor’s degree from national University of Health Sciences and a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. He co-authored a chapter on back muscles in Bergman’s Comprehensive Encyclopedia of Human Anatomic Variation and is an active member of the American Association of Clinical Anatomists and the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society.
He also is the TriBeta Biology Honor Society chapter advisor at Stark State.
