5.4% of citizens unemployed in Belmont County in 2021

Belmont County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.4% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,650 people out of the 67,077 living in Belmont County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Belmont County has decreased compared to the 5.6% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Belmont County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 28,800 people who had a job during that time, 15 were employed in the Armed Forces and 28,785 belonged to the civilian labor force.
