The U.S. Small Business Administration announced this week that certain farm-related and nonfarm-related entities in Ohio counties affected by recent droughts are eligible for federal Economic Injury Disaster Loans, according to State Rep. Adam Holmes (R-Nashport).
The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently declared a natural disaster in 22 Ohio counties, including Guernsey and Muskingum Counties, and identified 16 additional adjacent counties that may be impacted by drought conditions resulting in economic losses.
Economic Injury Disaster Loans are available to the following entities:
- Small businesses;
- Small agricultural cooperatives;
- Small businesses engaged in aquaculture; and
- Most nonprofit organizations.
